PYNL's Second Annual Clothing Drive/Happy Hour!
Join PYNL at Kildare's Irish Pub (509 South 2nd Street) on Wednesday, April 18th from 5:30pm-7:30pm for a Happy Hour and Clothing Drive to benefit Women Organized Against Rape and the Bethesda Project.

Spring is the perfect time to clean out you closet and donate your lightly used clothing to these great organizations that serve the women and men of Philadelphia. Bring a donation and receive complimentary appetizers and drink specials ($2.00 Coors Light and Yuengling Lager and $4.00 select martinis). Bring your clothes and bring your friends and we look forward to seeing you there!

This workshop, hosted by Greg Davis of Lincoln Benefits Group will be an interactive session on cash management strategies and investment options... on any salary!

Greg Davis and the LBG team are experienced professionals with a "hands on " approach to financial guidance. 90% of LBG clients are in the non-profit sector. LBG advises clients on how to get where they want to be, and continually remind them of the importance of maintaining a disciplined approach to help realize their dreams.

WorkforNonprofits.org and PYNL Speed Recruiting Event
On Thursday, April 26th, join PYNL and WorkforNonprofits.org for Philadelphia's first ever speed recruiting event. This event will bring together employers and job-seekers in the nonprofit sector to meet, network, and engage in brief and exciting interviews. The event is free for everyone and a great opportunity to connect with new people in the sector.

PYNL is Seeking New Board Members
PYNL is looking for individuals dedicated to the non-profit sector to join our Board of Organizers. If you work, volunteer, or have an interest in non profits, PYNL encourages you to get involved with our 15 member Board. Board members serve three-year terms, commit to working with at least one committee, attending our bi-monthly board meetings, and of course promote PYNL's mission while having fun in the process.

Nominations are due May 15th. The current Board reviews all nominations and elects the next set of board members. Elections take place in July for a term beginning in September.

PHS > The Empowerment Group
The Empowerment Group (EG) is a non-profit organization located in Kensington, North Philadelphia. Their mission is to accelerate economic growth in distressed urban communities by cultivating local entrepreneurship. Their bottom line is to create positive, lasting change for our clients, their families and their communities.

EG also hosts Philadelphia Entrepreneurship Week, coming up the week of April 23rd. During that week, the city will be encouraged to make entrepreneurship their business by participating in events that range from workshops to a party at World Cafe Live, to a Spring Market!
