Prospect Research involves the identification and research of prospective donors.
Similar in concept to market research, the goal of prospect research is to find prospects that have an interest and the ability to invest in an organization. In prospect research, the anticipated outcome is an investment in the organization's mission and activities. In market research, it is the purchase of a company's goods or services.

PYNL is pleased to present another opportunity for our members to sit down and hear from a leader in the Philadelphia community. Gary Steuer was appointed as Philadelphia's "Cultural Guru", or more formally, Philadelphia's Chief Cultural Officer.
His office is tasked with:
- Improving access to the arts for both residents and visitors
- Expanding arts education for young people
- Overseeing all the City's arts programs
- Supporting the growth and development of the City's arts, culture and creative economy sector, by promoting public and private investment in the creative economy sector
- Coordinating with relevant City agencies to unify the City's arts efforts
- Serving as a liaison between the City's many cultural institutions
